ACC Announces Several Key Appointments to Management Team

East Foulmouth, MA - Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. (ACC), a leading manufacturer of endotoxin and beta-glucan detection products and a major supplier to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, today announced several key changes to the management structure of the organization.

Associates of Cape Cod has undertaken a new corporate strategy to build on the technical strength of the organization, expand the business, create new products, augment existing service offerings and to focus on customers' ever-changing needs to provide a quicker response to the developing marketplace. To implement this strategy, the Company has added three individuals to the management team.

Michelle Knuth, ACC's new Director of Finance, comes to the Company from Steiff North America, Inc. where she held the position of Director of Finance. Managing the financial facet of a wholly owned subsidiary of a foreign parent allowed her to bring skilled, practical knowledge to ACC. Her experience includes international finance, foreign trade and financial structuring of technology focused companies. Previous positions include CFO of Tensegra, Inc., a biomedical device company, and Controller of Molecular Geodesics, Inc., a biotech start-up. Ms. Knuth received her Master of Finance degree from Northeastern University.

Peter Langlais has joined the Company as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Langlais has served in a variety of sales management and business development positions during his 19 year career, 14 of which have been in the biotechnology field. Mr. Langlais was most recently Senior Director of Commercial Development for Tripos Inc., a cheminformatics company specializing in molecular modeling software, informatics consulting and drug lead optimization. Previously, he held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing management with IGEN International, a technology platform and contract service provider to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Mr. Langlais also spent three years as a stockbroker and portfolio manager with Prudential Bache Securities.He received his B.S. in Biology from Western New England College.

Alison Skinner, Ph.D. has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Planning and Operations at ACC. She has over 20 years experience in the medical device and life science sectors. Dr. Skinner's experience ranges from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies, with positions including CEO/President and Board member, Vice President and Executive Director. She successfully commercialized products in a number of business areas, including spine, orthopaedics, sports medicine/arthoscopy, laparoscopy and absorbable devices. Dr. Skinner was also a member of the Board of Directors for MassMEDIC in 2001, an industry group for medical devices in Massachusetts. She received her Ph.D. and BSc (Hons) in Materials Engineering from University of Surrey, Guildford, England.
