Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. to Hold Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for New State-of- the-Art Manufacturing Facility on Cape Cod

East Foulmouth, MA - Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. (ACC), the largest biotechnology company on the Cape, will celebrate the completion of its new 83,000 square foot facility during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, September 24, 2004. ACC is a leading analyte detection company and manufacturer of endotoxin and beta-glucan detection products and a major supplier to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, as well as one of the largest biotechnology companies on the Cape.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the site of Associates of Cape Cod's new headquarters, 124 Bernard E. St. Jean Drive. Invitees will be offered building tours, which will highlight the facility's fully integrated, FDA-licensed, GMP cleanroom suite at the completion of the ceremony, as well as a reception for all attendees.

ACC recently received FDA approval to manufacture three of its highest- profile products, Pyrotell® Single Test Vial, Pyrotell® 5mL and Pyrotell®-T, at the new Falmouth Technology Park facility. Also, the Company's brand-new Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, Beacon DiagnosticsTM Laboratory, has been licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and registered as a CLIA laboratory by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Beacon DiagnosticsTM Laboratory will initially perform testing for invasive fungal infection in patient serum using FungitellTM.
