An international contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical ingredients, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Narcotics, was looking to achieve a single-pass process to mill their products. A Hammermill was being utilized but was not achieving the desired PSD (20 - 50 range) in a single-pass.

To obtain the required particle size in a single-pass, Quadro introduced the Fine Grind F10. The operators quickly embraced the new technology and are extremely happy with the low-dust and the ease-of-use that the Quadro Fine Grind provides. The user-friendly design facilitated cleaning and the low noise and portability were a welcome change from the Hammermill. The most impressive feature of the F10 noted by the manufacturer was the tight PSD curve achieved in a single-pass which will help eliminate their previous high cost of product waste. Maximum yield recovery is another feature of the F10 Fine Grind realized by the manufacturer with almost negligible amounts of unrecoverable product per batch; a noticeable improvement from their Hammermills.
