The aim of haemodilution therapy on patients with peripheral occlusive arterial disease is the reduction of plasma viscosity (and therefore the reduction of blood viscosity). The evaluation of the plasma viscosity therefore is of great interest in haemodilution therapy.
During haemodilution therapy, the plasma viscosity is strongly affected by the viscosity of the therapeutic substance used. Therefore it is also necessary to evaluate the viscosity of this drug.
