Weiler Engineering, Inc. announces a new innovation in Blow/Fill/Seal Technology. Designed to dramatically reduce non-viable particulate generation in the parison extrusion zone, the KleenKut™ is a new patented method for cutting the molten parisons during the blow/fill/seal process. The cut-off is accomplished at ambient temperature, eliminating the smoke particles typically generated from a hot knife. Extended studies have proven the benefit from elimination of particle generation at the potential source of contamination. The KleenKut™ offers the additional benefit of an improved measure of safety over conventional cut-off techniques. Currently available for low density polyethylene resin, the KleenKut™ is available as an optional accessory on new Asep-Tech® BFS machines purchased from Weiler Engineering or it can be supplied with a retrofit kit for existing machines.
