PTI Will Showcase Non-Destructive Inspection Technologies For Vials, Syringes, Blister Packs And Flexible Packaging At Interphex In Booth #236
March 9, 2009
PTI Inspection Systems will exhibit non-destructive inspection technologies for pharmaceutical packaging at the Interphex Show on March 17-19, 2009 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City in Booth #236.
PTI VeriPac inspection systems have proven to be the ultimate front-to-back leak testing solution for the pharmaceutical industry. Using non-destructive vacuum decay leak testing technology, test chambers are designed to accommodate the full range of container and package types used throughout the pharmaceutical industry including BPC (Bulk Pharmaceutical Chemical) and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) containers and bags as well as unit dose bottles, cups, vials and ampoules. Test components are optimized according to the type of package being tested and the level of sensitivity required. This versatility offers a tremendous advantage to companies looking for a reliable all around leak testing solution that can be implemented at various stages of the drug manufacturing process, starting at the bulk level.
Micro Leak Testing of Liquid-Filled Packaging New groundbreaking technology to verify container closure system integrity for liquid filled packaging
VeriPac 455 is a non-destructive inspection system that offers highly sensitive micro leak detection of empty & prefilled syringes, liquid filled & lyophilized vials and other liquid filled packages and containers - both flexible and rigid. Testing these types of products demands the highest level of sensitivity, repeatability and accuracy, and the VeriPac 455 is up to the task. The 455 is also an ideal solution for package integrity testing of all types of liquid filled pouches, stick packs and sachets. Test cycle is very rapid - about 10 seconds and produces highly repeatable, reliable results. PTI is also pleased to announce a new addendum to the ASTM Test Method F2338 " Standard Test Method for Nondestructive Detection of Leaks in Packages by Vacuum Decay Method". This 2009 addendum now includes syringes and liquid filled products. This addendum further proves the performance and reliability of this technology. PTI instruments were used to develop this method. VeriPac 325/D is an all-around economical and versatile package inspection system for foil barrier pouches, poly peelable chevron designed pouches, stick packs and sachets. It has been successful at cost saving, waste reduction, and elimination of operator error. The test configuration features a convenient drawer-style chamber for easy handling and testing convenience. The VeriPac 325/D is capable of testing different size pouches and even multiple pouches in a single test cycle that produces a PASS/FAIL result in about 10 seconds. Changeover to test different types of pouches requires no change in parts or test parameter settings.
The VeriPac 225/BLV inspection system evaluates and analyzes blister package integrity with precision and repeatability. The core technology of the VeriPac 225/BLV is based on an ASTM approved vacuum decay leak test method that was developed using VeriPac instruments, with the addition of special vision imaging technology to easily identify the location of defective blister cavities. The VeriPac 225/BLV provides non-destructive, non-invasive inspection of multi-cavity blister packaging made with any material, flat or glossy finish, printed or non-printed surface. Each test cycle is rapid with test results available in numerical, statistical and image formats.
Pouch Seal Testing and Seal Quality Analysis SEAL-SCAN ™ Model Pti-525 Off-Line Pouch Inspection System is a semi-automatic airborne ultrasonic imaging system for non-destructive pouch seal inspection and statistical analysis of heat seals. PTI has recently introduced some new enhancements to Seal-Scan. Seal-Scan is recognized as a leading technology for pharmaceutical and medical device pouch seal inspection.
