Siemens Pte Ltd has been awarded a lump-sum multimillion dollar contract by Baxter Bioscience Manufacturing in Singapore. The contract involves the supply of the automation system, process instruments and motor control centers, as well as basic and detail engineering services. Siemens will also be responsible for installing and commissioning the systems. The Siemens concept, based on Totally Integrated Automation, will allow tight integration of all devices and components, based on Profibus and Industrial Ethernet communication.
