Spraying Systems Co.'s UniJet® FE Flat Spray Tips Offer Excellent Spray Distribution in Coating, Cleaning, Cooling and Washing Applications
April 1, 2004

Wheaton, IL U.S.A. ‹ Spraying Systems Co.'s new UniJet FE spray nozzle incorporates several new design features that provide excellent spray distribution - making the tips ideal for a variety of coating, cleaning, cooling and washing applications. Among the new features are a specially tapered spray pattern that allows for excellent feathered edge spray distribution from 10 psi (.7 bar) to a maximum pressure of 100 psi (7 bar). The spray height can also be adjusted to overlap a minimum of 30 percent of each edge of the pattern to achieve a more uniform spray distribution.
The new UniJet FE flat spray tips were developed to provide a nominal spray angle at 15 psi (1.0 bar). Depending on spray angle requirements, two spray angle choices are available, 80° and 110°, with larger spray angles providing wider coverage at lower pressures. The new tips fit all UniJet nozzle bodies and eight different colors of the spray tips are available. The color-coded tips allow for quick selection of flow rates ranging from .05 gpm (.19 1/min) to 1.3 gpm (4.8 1/min).
The UniJet FE spray tip orifices are recessed to protect against damage and feature unobstructed flow passages to minimize clogging. Constructed with an acetal body, stainless steel orifice inserts and Viton® O-rings, the UniJet FE spray tips offer premium wear characteristics for use in applications that require use of corrosive or heated solutions. The tips can withstand a maximum operating temperature of 150°F (66°C).
