XPert® Balance Systems And Stations Offer Options To Provide User Protection During Weighing Procedures

Source: Labconco Corporation

XPert Filtered Balance Systems and Stations provide user protection by keeping powders and particulates, frequently found in pharmaceutical, dry chemical, mold and asbestos applications, kept away from the operator and contained during weighing procedures. The XPert Filtered Balance Stations include an exhaust HEPA filter and are designed to be ducted to an outside blower or house exhaust system. XPert Filtered Balance Systems include a built-in blower and exhaust HEPA filter. The built-in blower and exhaust HEPA filter in the XPert Filtered Balance System is mounted in the upper plenum and takes up less space than a separate exhauster would require, while isolation supports minimize blower vibration. These Systems return filtered air to the laboratory and require no outside ducting.

The interior depth options of either of 23" or 30" accommodate large analytical and micro balances. Containment-enhancing features include the patented* Clean-Sweep™ air foil that allows air to sweep the work surface for maximum containment. Other containment-enhancing features include an upper containment sash foil to bleed air into the enclosure to direct concentrations of contaminants away from the users' breathing zone; an upper dilution air supply to introduce room air at the top of the sash; and a zoned-perforated rear baffle that creates horizontal laminar airflow to maximize containment. A true bag-in/bag-out filter disposal system allows the HEPA filter to be safely removed and replaced by a certified technician.

Tempered safety glass sash, sides and top offer excellent visibility and provides better fire, scratch and corrosion resistance than acrylic. The ergonomic 10° angled sash allows a closer view, reduces glare and provides a more comfortable operating position.
