PCE 360° Inspection is a modular all-in-one solution for quality management of cylindrical objects in the pharmaceutical industry.

Various quality relevant characteristics can be verified: Verification of imprints - such as product-, batch- or serialnumber as plain text and/or 2D code - prevents mix-ups within the production process. The control of aluminium caps, presence of sealing plugs and intactness of the seal ensures integrity and decontamination of the primary packaging.

The serialised tracking of single units also complies with the latest requirements of international Track & Trace guidelines for primary packaging by collecting serialized information directly on the primary package or on the label. In order to achieve this, the complete surface of the un-oriented bottle will be scanned by a multi-camera-system on the fly during the production process. Depending on specific requirements additional camera systems will read from top or bottom and analyse relevant characteristics which could be applied either as visible or invisible (e.g. UV-ink) code.
