Capture Of An Acid-Sensitive Recombinant Protein From E. coli Lysate Using Mixed-Mode Chromatography
HyperCel™ MEP, HEA, and PPA mixed-mode chromatography sorbents offer unique selectivity, are an efficient alternative to hydrophobic interaction sorbents, and can be used for intermediate step purification of monoclonal antibodies and for many other applications in the biopharmaceutical industry. This work highlights the application of HEA HyperCel mixed-mode sorbent for an E.coli expressed protein, rGST. Data show that HEA HyperCel can selectively purify this acidic unstable protein with good capacity, and that a 300-fold scale-up can be easily achieved with excellent reproducibility.
