Containment For Micro Dosing Capsulation Equipment Application Note
The objective of this performance evaluation study was to identify if powder containment enclosures are effective at protecting workers from occupational exposure while maintaining a stable environment for analytical equipment to operate. A task specific stainless steel enclosure was designed and built for a Capsule Machine (precision powder micro-dosing system) by Flow Sciences, Inc.
The capsule dosing equipment was placed on a static stainless steel cart with a dished base to contain possible powder spills during hopper fill and general powder handling. The static cart also kept the highly sensitive equipment from being moved or disrupted during capsulation process. The negative pressure laminar flow enclosure was mobile upon client request. Dual side access doors facilitated cleaning process between runs.
