Summer 2009 Freeman Technology Newsletter: Where Shall We Meet?
Virtually or in person? The value of conferences and trade shows is a particularly hot topic at the moment. Not only do we have to contend with a difficult economic climate and its effects on travel budgets, but the new possibility of a flu pandemic may well bring further travel restrictions. While I remain optimistic about the value of attending and presenting at key industry conferences and exhibitions - at Interphex for example we made some very important connections and we have similar expectations for next week's ACHEMA in Frankfurt - it is clear that we can also share understanding and ideas very effectively across the web. For anyone unable to travel to meetings, or who simply wants the convenience of joining from their office, interactive web seminars are proving very attractive and on 20 May we will deliver our first public webcast (see below). This follows hot on the heels of unveiling our new website and opens the way to regular web-based activities for delivering product and applications information, training and support. We hope you'll join us.
