After commercializing the first laser-based headspace inspection platforms in the pharmaceutical industry more than a decade ago with funding from the Food & Drug Administration, LIGHTHOUSE has analyzed and inspected millions of parenteral containers from sterile pharmaceutical facilities around the world.
Headspace analysis of parenteral containers enables insight into many sterile processes as well as into the quality of finished product. The wide variety of applications includes container closure studies, headspace oxygen stability studies, vacuum leak detection of freeze dried vials, freeze drying cycle optimization, and nitrogen purging efficiency studies. By setting up resources dedicated to Headspace Measurement Services, LIGHTHOUSE will now make this expertise and measurement capability available to clients on a project basis.
Customers can take advantage of On-Site Measurement Services by making a request for LIGHTHOUSE Application Scientists to operate equipment on site for a short term measurement activity. This is usually done in cases where it is difficult to send product off site to a LIGHTHOUSE laboratory facility for analysis, or for finished product inspection activities involving small batches of product samples. LIGHTHOUSE Application Scientists can be available on short notice for critical measurement activities.
