The liquid filling space has undergone an evolution in the last quarter century. Just 25 years ago, pharmaceutical companies had engineering resources at their disposal to help put together filling lines. Equipment manufacturers were only contacted when the companies needed a filler, capper, or labeler.

But that model has transformed and pharma is looking to OEMs to be a single source of all things related to liquid filling. So, in addition to providing the filler, customers want suppliers to offer up all the bells and whistles: data verification, report generation, instantaneous changeover, fill verification, and even proper torque verification.
