CSafe Global has opened its first wholly-owned and managed service center in San Francisco. CSafe’s CEO, Brian Kohr, commented: “CSafe is continuing to invest in our growth and, central to our strategy, to expand our service center network. With the expansion of our fleet and customer base, we needed more servicing capacity to enable us to continue our high standards of support and maintenance. We chose SFO for a CSafe operated and dedicated service center as it is at the point of need for many of our biopharmaceutical customers.”

Rick Rackley, CSafe’s Director of Service Partners, adds: “CSafe has developed a first-class resource at SFO with improved availability and faster, cost effective turnarounds – something our partners can pass on to their customers. With our appointed and trained technicians, the average turnaround times are currently between 24 and 72 hours.  We have also designed the center with inbuilt flexibility and are confident that we will see further improvements.”

According to the San Francisco International Airport, in 2013 they saw a 4.3% rise in European-bound cargo, and, in the first three months of 2014, this growth continued by 10.5%. In fact, all cargo from SFO grew by 2.3% in the first calendar quarter of 2014.

Brian concludes: “Growth in the California Corridor has been steady and strong so SFO was a natural choice for our first dedicated service center. Over the past two decades, CSafe has built its reputation on reliability and performance and this new center allows us to not only better serve our customers now, but also for many years to come.”
