Depyrogenation tunnels are used in pharmaceutical filling lines to sterilize glass containers before they are aseptically filled. These tunnels use unidirectional hot air at temperatures up to 600° F (350° C) and can be used to sterilize and depyrogenate glass vials, ampoules, and cartridges. A variety of belt widths may also be used, ranging in sizes from 400mm to 1200mm (12" - 48").

Bosch HQL drying and depyrogenation tunnels feature unidirectional air flow, process temperature progression curves, and significantly reduced sterilization times. They give the repeatable accuracy necessary for successful validation, qualification, and reliable production capacity. This series of depyrogenation tunnels also includes handling for both stable and non-stable containers.

The modular design of the HQL allows for easy changes between different container types and configurations. Controllable and reproducible process parameters simplify validation. Other features include safe zone pressure balance, automatic container density control for better temperature stability, friction-free container transport, and easy access to tunnel interior for cleaning and maintenance.

Options include a sterilizable cool zone for improved sterility assurance. The oven configurations are custom designed based on filling speed and container size.
