M+W Automation will be co-presenting with Amgen at Rockwell Automation’s RSTechEd Conference, an industry-leading training event for manufacturers, system integrators, OEMs, and Rockwell Automation sales personnel.  At its Thousand Oaks facility, Amgen commissioned a project to replace legacy PLC5 control systems. Through a series of scheduled phases, the project team – consisting of Amgen, Rockwell, and M+W Automation (Process Solution Provider) – employed innovative approaches in the design, installation, and commissioning of the control systems to deliver exceptional value to Amgen. Topics to be reviewed include: Distributed vs. Centralized Architecture, Validation, Hardware methods, software tools, and virtualization. The project was on time and under budget with no impact to operations.
