New Fungicide Captan Gold 80 WDG Launched By MANA

By Liisa Vexler

Raleigh, the N.C. based MANA company, has developed and launched a new fungicide known as Captan Gold 80 WDG. The new unique formulation creates a point of difference in the market place with its low-dust and low foam formulation. These benefits make it easier for mixing in spray tanks which save time on prior delays due to foam build up or for adequate mixing to take place.

The new product has various bag sizes making it tailor made for spray tanks. An example of this is the 20 pound bag, a perfect fit for a 500 gallon spray tank and equipped with an EZ Open top making opening possible without the use of additional tools. Steady pouring is made possible due to the handle at the top of the bag.  The product also comes in a 30 pound bag and in a 6.25 pound stand up pouch.  Both of these products can be torn open at the top, again without the requirement of additional tools. The captan product is supported by more than 50 years of manufacturing experience making the new product a leader in fungicide treatments for growers of tree fruit and other specialist crops. Sara Zinck, leader of marketing for MANA comments on the usefulness of the new product, “the new EZ-Open and standup packaging round out the distinct Captan Gold offering and will help shift the perception of captan for mixers and applicators.” MANA is responsible for the manufacture of more than 60 formulations of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators and harvest aids.  MANA maintains its position in the use of vital active ingredients in its formulations, said to have been abandoned by other companies in the market.
