PrintInspector™ is a stand-alone high resolution (400dpi) camera scanning system that mounts directly onto standard thermal or laser printers and is specifically designed to address verification problems relating to large format labels of up to A4 in size.

Technical Capabilities

• Read all common 1D bar codes
• Reads all Pharmacode and Datamatrix codes
• Performs OCV or OCR on all text types
• Checks for missing and excess print
• Inspects graphics for accuracy
• Detects smudges and streaks on unpopulated areas
• Capable of scanning at print speed of 300mm/s
• Inspects up to a resolution of 400 dpi
• Provides full audit trail including print run history and label image storage and retrieval
• Prevents label printing in the event of error detection
• Integrates to common print management systems (e.g. PRISYMID etc.)
• Provides printer-specific data for targeted maintenance
