The Pittcon 2013 Marketing Committee is pleased to release its official conference and exposition mobile app,  Pittcon 2013. Conferees with mobile devices have access to the Pittcon 2013 Mobile App which is available for free download in the App Store and Android Market. The app serves as an all-in-one event guide containing all the information and details about the exposition, program, and short courses, as well as a valuable networking tool to use before, during, and after the event. Features include the ability to create a custom agenda; receive reminders and updates; search, filter, and find; take notes and send by email; and exchange contact information.

The Pittcon mobile conference app was developed by California-based ATIV Software and built on its award winning platform EventPilot®, the robust native conference app for scientific, medical, and technology meetings.

Founder of ATIV Software Silke Fleischer commented, ""Mobile conference apps are turning from a novelty into a critical component for any large meetings. The tremendous cost savings and environmental benefits over printing alone have a significant impact on association's tight budgets. But most of all, choosing the right technology for a large event provides peace of mind for the organizer and satisfies attendees' needs to easily manage a massive and complex conference program."  She added, "The app's built-in navigation and organizational tools allow attendees to focus on what's most important to them - the excellent education and networking opportunities Pittcon offers."

The Pittcon 2013 App can be downloaded directly from www.pittcon.org. Pittcon's web-based Agenda Builder will continue to be available; however, any agenda created in either the mobile app or Agenda Builder cannot be transferred or accessed outside of the application in which it was created.
