The approval and increasing use of biological pharmaceuticals has propelled the pharmaceutical and supply chain management industries forward. These biologic drugs treat a variety of disease states, including diabetes and cancer, as well as vaccinate against infectious diseases – providing new treatment options for certain patient populations.
