UPS Honored At Annual North American 3PL Awards

Automotive, hi-tech, healthcare segments and sustainability efforts recognized for supply chain service excellence

UPS, an industry leader in supply chain management and the world’s largest package delivery company, was recently recognized for third-party logistics (3PL) excellence. The awards were presented during eyefortransport’s (eft) 12thAnnual North American 3PL Awards Summit in Chicago.

UPS received top honors in several key categories, including: Best 3PL for Automotive Supply Chains, Best 3PL for Pharma/Lifesciences/Healthcare Supply Chains, Best 3PL for Sustainability Supply Chains, and Best 3PL for Hi-Tech & Electronics Supply Chains. UPS was also named runner-up in four of the remaining six categories. To view the complete listing, click here.

Each year, eft, a global supply chain business intelligence and networking organization based in London, recognizes those 3PLs that continually deliver excellence in logistics operations and superior service to their customers. Nominees are shortlisted by a panel of industry experts, and winners are chosen by North American 3PL customers — those manufacturers and retailers who depend on and work with logistics service providers daily.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by our customers, those partners who know firsthand that UPS solutions and services can streamline often-complex supply chains and make them more efficient,” says Mike Delaney, UPS president of North America logistics and distribution. “From distribution and post sales services to transportation management and an array of value-added services, our people go the extra mile for our customers every day.”

About 600 senior-level logistics and supply chain executives attended this year’s summit, which included a “super session” focused on logistics-customer relationships. Last year, UPS received top honors in the Best 3PL for Industrial Supply Chains category.

“Customers have come to trust and rely on UPS’s full range of logistics solutions and industry-specific expertise,” said Alan Amling, UPS vice president of global logistics and distribution marketing. “We appreciate the confidence our customers have shown in UPS and remain committed to helping them win with outstanding customer service and industry-leading sustainability initiatives.”
