BTL was established in 1997 to provide contract research and development services, training and advanced instrumentation in freeze drying technologies. We have decades of experience in the application of freeze drying technology and have worked on over 600 substances from small drug molecules to large complex biomolecules, foods, tissues, whole cells and organisms and advanced materials. We continually engage in research to investigate future applications for freeze drying and to keep us at the cutting edge of this field.

Together with our knowledge of pilot-scale and industrial freeze-dryers we offer a uniquely comprehensive service covering all aspects of freeze-drying from pre-formulation through to full-scale production and dried product analysis.

We aim to meet the precise needs of our customer's projects, and will agree a work program and a budget that is appropriate to the size and stage of your project.
