Business Divisions
The company divides its business into four core segments. The analytical instruments division produces over 500 different analyzers, including particle size analyzers, Raman, fluorescence, pH meters, X-ray fluorescence, ellipsometers, petroleum testing instruments, elemental composition, materials characterization and other equipment used in either the physical sciences or in advanced materials research.
Particle Analysis
HORIBA's particle characterization analyzers provides a wide range of solutions to the particle analysis needs of the industry, supported by an applications team well-versed in the requirements of the customer.
HORIBA offers instruments for particle size, particle shape, and zeta potential analysis. Measurable size range is from 1 nanometer to 30 millimeters, at concentrations ranging from 1 ppm to 50 vol%. A range of analytical techniques are employed including laser diffraction (static light scattering), dynamic light scattering, electroacoustics and digital image processing (providing both particle size and shape information). HORIBA's advanced designs and powerful software, combined with flexible sample handling systems and a full range of options, including small volume cells, automation, dry powder feeders and temperature controlled flow systems are available to meet every analysis need.
