Vector Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets processing equipment for the processing of solid dosage / form materials. Included in the product lines are tablet coating machines, fluid bed granulator/coaters/dryers, high shear granulators, roller compactors, tablet presses, and automated process control systems. Industries served by Vector include the pharmaceutical / health care, chemical, food, confectionery and pyrotechnics. Primary distribution markets are North and South America and Europe, with an increasing emphasis being made to all continents, making Vector a global marketing company.
As a full service company founded in 1972, Vector employs over 100 people as marketing, sales, mechanical and electrical engineering, scientific, manufacturing, technical customer service, and general administrative personnel. This dedicated work force of well-educated and skilled people is the key element that allows Vector to continue to grow and prosper in the increasingly competitive global market place.
In December of 1997 Vector Corporation became a subsidiary of Freund Corporation of Tokyo, Japan. Prior to the acquisition by Freund Corporation (1974 to 1997), Vector was a licensed manufacturer and distributor of the Fruend processing equipment to the North and South American pharmaceutical markets.
As a Group Company of Freund Corporation, Vector now has a stronger and more competitive position in the global healthcare industry. Freund possesses more than 300 Japanese and International approved/pending patents reflecting creative technologies and unique products. Combined, Vector and Freund now have over 3000 world-wide equipment installations. The VPS Corporation of Cranbury, New Jersey is also a subsidiary of Freund Corporation. The VPS Corporation is a cGMP full service product development and manufacturing company for non-sterile solid oral dosage products. More information on Freund Corporation and their products can be found at www.Freund.co.jp
Vector has a strong commitment to the development of innovative product technology. Advancements in automated process control technology and equipment validation documentation have led the way in positioning Vector as a market leader. Additional developments include a revolutionary cartridge filter system for the fluid bed granulator/coater, forty ton rotary press for the compaction of airbag pellets that ignite to inflate airbags, and a patented product discharge system for the fluid bed units. As equipment needs become more and more sophisticated, the capability to understand and optimize the operation of equipment becomes a critical ingredient for success.
Vectors' Quality Management System was assessed and found to be in compliance with the International Quality Standard ISO 9001: 94 in November of 1996. In April 2003 Vectors' Quality Management System was certified to the current ISO 9001:2000 standard. The Quality Management System is applicable to design, manufacture, installation, and service of processing equipment including Perforated Pan Coating Systems, Fluid Bed Dryers and Granulators, Roller Compactors, High Shear Mixer/Granulators and Associated System Controls and Auxiliary Equipment. Registration is by Orion Registrar accredited by the RvA, RAB and the Standards Council of Canada.
