The Viscotek High Temperature GPC (HT-GPC) System is a revolutionary advanced detector system specifically designed for the characterization of polyolefins, natural and synthetic polymers, nanoparticles and other large molecules. Representing a breakthrough in high temperature technology and engineered in a modular format for flexibility, reliability and easy maintenance, the new Viscotek HT-GPC operates from 30 to 175 degrees C and is configured as follows:

  • Model 350 High Temperature Triple Detector Array (HT-TDA) featuring a Differential Refractive Index (RI) Detector, four-capillary Differential Viscometer Detector and patent-pending Low Angle Light Scattering (LALS) Detector.
  • Vortex Autopreparation/Autosampler Module for automated sample preparation and delivery.
  • Model 1122 Isocratic Pump for reproducible flow rates with an absence of pump pulsation.
  • Model 7510 Degasser for elimination of air and other solvent gases.
  • OmniSEC GPC software for complete system control, data acquisition and processing.

The Viscotek HT-GPC System will provide absolute molecular weight without extrapolation or correction, molecular size (Rg and Rh to less than 1 nm), and intrinsic viscosity, as well as information on structure, conformation, aggregation and branching in a single GPC/SEC experiment. The system may also be configured with an Infrared (IR) Detector for short-chain branching analysis or a UV/VIS for copolymer compositional analysis.
