Our lyophilized product development Centre of Excellence in Ferentino, Italy specializes in the cycle optimization, formulation development, and scale-up of lyophilized products. With comprehensive analytical and bio-analytical support, our highly experienced development scientists can help bring your lyophilized molecule, large or small, to market fast.
The 9,365 ft2 (870 m2) development facility features three development scale lyophilizers, an aseptic filling line dedicated exclusively to customer development projects and access to a larger cGMP lyophilizer to provide our customers with simplified and efficient means for scale-up of their lyophilized product.
Patheon's development scale lyophilizers have been modified to ensure that they are fully scalable with our commercial scale lyophilizers, making product scale-up more efficient.
Disposable Technologies
Patheon's lyophilized product development site is able to utilize single-use, disposable equipment which can potentially decrease costs and project time requirements.
Biopharmaceutical Development
Patheon offers sterile biopharmaceutical development at both its Swindon and Ferentino sites.
