Alexanderwerk Pharma series of roller compactors are cantilever models that feature rollers supported on the machine side only. This leaves the other roller end open to facilitate quick roller changeover and cleaning. Integrated granulation capabilities include either single or multi-stage granulators. Pharma roller compactors are modular, easy to clean and meet current FDA.CFR/cGMP requirements. All units are constructed to reduce dusting in both the product and the manufacturing environment.

Alexanderwerk has implemented an innovative PAT system for all production scale Pharma Series compactors. Available as an option, the unit utilizes Laser Defraction as part of an integrated system for quality assurance and real-time data evaluation.

Applications:
Virtually any operation where an increase in the bulk density of a product, and the increase or control of particle size distribution, will improve flow properties, reduce dust transfer and improve process handling. Roller compaction is particularly helpful with water-insoluble or water-intolerant products. Pharmaceutical and other companies throughout the world have utilized Alexanderwerk roller compactors for over 50 years in the production of tablets, capsules, life science products, flavorings, instant powders, non-caloric sweeteners and many similar products.Specific examples of compacted and granulated materials are Lactose, Riboflavin, Cephalosporine, Ibuprofen, Actetylsalicylic Acid and Antibiotics.
