The Sartocon 2 Plus stainless steel holder is optimized for the use with up to 10 Sartocon Crossflow cassettes (max. 7 m2). It is designed for medium volume applications from 5 I to 500 I.

Sartocon cassettes have a surface area of 6-7,000 cm2 each, are available with Polyethersulfone, Hydrosart, Polypropylene and Cellulose Triacetate membrane types. The Sartocon cassettes used with the Sartocon 2 Plus holder cover the whole range of pharmaceutical and biotechnological crossflow applications like concentration and diafiltration of proteins, vaccines, viruses, antibodies, oligo nucleotides, endotoxin removal etc. The Sartoflow 10 system is also suitable for MF applications like cell harvesting and clarification processes.
The family of Sartorius Crossflow holders feature the latest advances in crossflow design:
- vertical orientation
- self draining systems
- minimized hold-up volumes
The Sartocon cassette parallel leaf design provides uniform predictable and linear scale up. The Sartocon 2 Plus's flow distribution plate is machined from a single piece of stainless steel. Its sanitary 11/2" tri-clamp connections are therefore not welded but machined from the stainless steel block from which the plate is made. This eliminates potential problems associated with welds and ensures long I service life and safe and reliable connection to other equipment. The feed and retentate are located on one side of the plate. This allows easy integration into any skid design and assures a compact system with low minimum working volume.
Port locations on on the flow plate are situated to eliminate potential air locks and to assure thourough cleaning and total product recovery.
