Welcome to the National Biotechnology Information Facility (NBIF) which is now divided into three main sections to emphasize the resources available and to aid in user navigation.
- The Educational Resources section includes workshops, on-line courses, educational classroom resources, and the games Outbreak!© and Origin: Unknown©.
- The Internet Resources section consists of an easily navigable and searchable database of well over 3000 annotated links to various internet sites with bioinformatics tools, research information, educational resources, careers, industry information, and much more.
- The Products and Services section includes bioinformatics databases and tools, clip art, and the NBIF Industry Register.
The National Biotechnology Information Facility (NBIF) provides a single-point access to a vast store of widely distributed biotechnology information as well as developing new educational and bioinformatics services. NBIF encourages information sharing between researchers in Academia, Industry, Government, and the Department of Defense, promotes biotechnology in Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs), and provides training in biotechnology. NBIF is sponsored by Grant# DAAH04-96-1-0415 from the Army Research Organization and is located at New Mexico State University.
