Shimadzu Offers Application Note For Its New AXIMA Mass Spectrometer

Shimadzu has released a new application note for its AXIMA Performance" mass spectrometer: "Analysis of polymers by MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry."

Polymer synthesis can be difficult to control. Polymer analysis tools that can process the large number of peaks and identify the species present in polymers are essential to testing. This application note presents results obtained following the analysis of two polymer samples. Results are presented demonstrating the Polymer Analysis tools for processing MALDI polymer data.

The results of the Polymer Analysis software demonstrate that it is possible to calculate and report distribution information or identify components of different copolymers present in a sample.
