Mega Systems are designed for ultra-high throughput applications using sample formats with a footprint larger than a microtitre plate. Typical applications include processing HPLC samples in modified fraction collector racks, processing samples for compound storage and high throughput screening or synthesis.

Access to the evaporation chamber is by a top opening, powered lid. Samples are loaded into sample swings fixed to a single layer, high strength aluminum alloy rotor. For high boiling point solvents (such as DMSO or NMP), the chamber and lid can be heated to 40°C to prevent condensation. This gentle heating can also be used to aid rapid evaporation. Vapors pass from the chamber into a VC8000T condenser/vapor condenser.

The VC8000T can be configured for 8 liter rapid turn-around or non-stop, unlimited capacity running. The CVP 100-CP vacuum pump provides the necessary low-pressure conditions for effective condensing by the VC8000T. Volatile vapors will be boiled off and piped into the exhaust solvent recovery chamber built into the VC8000T.
