Marken Opens Brazil Branch Office

Company Establishes Permanent Presence in Key Clinical Trials Market

Marken announced recently the opening of a new office and its own legal entity in Sao Paulo, Brazil as part of their ongoing expansion in Latin America. The expansion further confirms Marken's position in the clinical trials market within this important region. Claudia Tofaneto, Country Manager for Marken, leads a dedicated team as they expertly service more than 1000 clinical trial investigator sites throughout Brazil.

Wes Wheeler, Chief Executive Office for Marken, said this about the new development, "Adding Marken's new office and staff, combined with our own legal entity, once again illustrates our commitment to the region and the clinical trials sector. We now have a global footprint of 36 locations which gives us access and full visibility to all investigator sites throughout the world. Our new office in San Paulo allows us to further tailor our services to the needs of our customers and investigator sites in Brazil."

At the same time, three new depots are nearing completion in South America, which will bring the global total to 10 GMP-compliant, purpose-built depots within Marken's network. The new depots in Chile, Peru, and Brazil will add almost 20,000 square feet (1,860 sq m) of space to Marken's pharmaceutical depot network, bringing Marken's total square footage depot capabilities to over 100,000 square feet (9,300 sq m) globally.  These three additional depots in South America combine to provide optimum coverage of all investigator sites in this very important clinical trials region.
