Combining In-depth Knowledge and Advanced Technology, Multisorb Helps Manufacturers get to Market Faster.

Multisorb Technologies has announced it will be exhibiting at INTERPHEX 2013, April 23-25, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, New York. INTERPHEX is North America’s leading annual pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical trade show, which brings together over 12,000 industry professionals. Multisorb will promote its quality by design (QbD) based Calculations through Operations Program.

While in close consultation with its global clients, Multisorb’s scientists use its Calculations through Operations Program to determine an appropriate optimized sorbent as well as placement of that sorbent when required, with the use of a sorbent specific dispenser, during packaging operations. The Calculations through Operations Program and use of a Multisorb System (sorbent with its coordinated dispenser)  provide the most effective solution for ensuring chemical and physical drug stability throughout the entire shelf life of the product.

Combining innovative technology and extensive knowledge, Multisorb can provide the most effective sorbent solution and help manufacturers get new products to market faster.  Multisorb formulates optimized sorbent products using SimulSorb and SimulOx Pseudo-Empirical Modeling Programs, which help predict physical and chemical stability outcomes for healthcare products in their packaging. It is most cost effective to implement the Calculations through Operations Program during the drug development process. Multisorb is staffed with highly experienced scientists who have a strong understanding of the pathways of degradation for pharmaceuticals; the sources of oxygen, moisture, and volatiles in pharmaceuticals and their packaging; and how to effectively maintain a desirable packaging environment.

Multisorb will be featuring three sorbent dispensers at this year’s show – APA-9000, APA-2000, and APA-500.

The newest addition to the APA dispenser family, the APA-9000 Canister Dispenser, is offered as part of the StabilOx, SorbiCap, and Multiform CSF Systems. It offers dual hoppers that run alternately, supplying a single feed bowl and ensuring the protection of the sorbent canister’s capacity while providing FIFO control.

The other two dispensers (APA-2000 and APA-500) are amongst Multisorb’s most popular dispensers; both dispensers are options with the StripPax and StabilOx Packet Systems. Thehigh speed APA-2000 will be demonstrated with a bottling line interface. The APA-500 is a semi-automateddispenser that is ideal for hand packaging operations.
