Outsourcing continues to be dominated by comparatively lower value-added services such as basic product testing. In fact, of 23 different areas of outsourcing we measured in our 8th Annual Report and Survey of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing, the top five activities at biopharma facilities being outsourced today by relate to testing and services, led by product characterization testing.
