The SANITRX Rupture Disc is designed for applications where high product purity and trouble-free equipment sterilization are required. The disc is an overpressure relief device provides instantaneous overpressure protection, featuring solid metal, scored, reverse acting construction capable of operating under conditions up to 90% of the rupture disc's rated burst pressure. Non-fragmenting characteristics provide leakage and permeation control and permit primary and/or secondary system relief protection and isolation of safety relief valves. This new product from Continental Disc installs directly between sanitary ferrules in sizes 1½ in. to 4 in., utilizing an FDA-grade envelope gasket.
