Since 2015, the World Anti-Microbial Resistance Congress has been the only commercially focused conference globally to focus on combating AMR. The World Anti-Microbial Resistance Congress was launched during the release of key reports such as the AMR Review and A Scientific Roadmap for Antibiotic Discovery which brought attention to the threats of AMR to the global healthcare system. The conference has taken the opportunity to gather global leaders in infectious diseases to meet, brainstorm and discuss the challenges and opportunities on the six topic areas: Advancing antibiotic R&D and non-traditional therapies development Developing innovative diagnostics solutions Conciliating funding with biotech and diagnostics innovation Improving antimicrobial stewardship guidelines and practice Sustainable and controlled manufacturing Tackling infection control at hospitals efficiently and cost-effectively In 2019, 600 attendees from over 40 countries will be gathered at the Renaissance Washington, D.C.
