In 2018 the FIP congress will be held in Glasgow, Scotland. FIP invites pharmacy practitioners and pharmaceutical scientists from around the world to come together to discuss and learn about “Transforming outcomes! New ways for pharmacy to provide better health care”. The congress will focus on ways of extending the role of pharmacists to play a full part in ensuring that patients and health systems achieve full benefit from the medicines people take. You will learn how transforming the outcomes of the treatments with medicines that you provide will result in improved care for your patients. And while being inspired to do just that you could be earning CE credits. Your country’s professional body can advise you on how many credits you can gain. Topics that will be discussed during the congress include: - Advancements in drug discovery formulation, compounding, delivery systems, and mathematical modelling - Focus on new technologies and approaches to achieve individualised therapy - Innovations in disseminating new knowledge through the identification of key competencies - Training and leadership development of the current and next generation The annual pharmacy technicians’ symposium and deans’ forum will be held just before the congress. Join us and enjoy the best practice, science and education experiences and achievements presented by global experts! Glasgow has been voted the world’s friendliest city. It has expanded hugely from its origins as a small salmon-fishing village but it remains compact enough to explore with ease its world-class museums, galleries and award-winning visitor attractions. Away from the city, stunning scenery abounds in the beautiful countryside. The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is the global body representing pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, founded in 1912. We represent over four million pharmacists and have been in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1948.
