1. Be motivated – hear our world-leading faculty present a bench-to-bedside overview of the field in an outstanding scientific programme. With an international faculty of world-leading experts already confirmed in the scientific programme, EAS 2018 Lisbon is the place to come for a bench-to-bedside overview of the latest current research in atherosclerosis and related vascular disease. Be inspired by the award-winning Anitschkow Lecture, by outstanding Keynote lectures, by state-of-the-art Plenary sessions, and focussed Workshops and Advanced Clinical Seminars. To the Plenary programme. 2. Be recognised – present your own findings on our prestigious international platform. EAS Congress welcomes delegates from over 70 countries for high-level interdisciplinary exchange. We encourage you to join us – gain recognition by presenting your own findings to a truly international audience. Abstracts presented as part of the Congress programme are subsequently published in the Society's internationally recognised Atherosclerosis journal. 3. Be encouraged – progress your career with our opportunities for Young Investigators. EAS is committed to the support of young scientists in progressing their careers. Our Young Investigator Fellowships initiative offers early-career scientists the opportunity to take part in the Congress, to sharpen their skills by presenting and answering questions on their own research, attending the scientific programme, and getting to know others in the field. Information about Fellowships can be found on the Society website. EAS 2018 Lisbon welcomes abstract submissions from young scientists. 4. Be energized – interdisciplinary discussions and questions that lead to new ideas and collaborations. We firmly believe that the personal meeting – presenting and discussing one's work with others, and sparking ideas from others' work – is the key to progress in science. EAS Congress has a wide multi-disciplinary audience of both clinicians.
