Catalent Pharma Solutions, a leading provider of outsourced clinical and commercial packaging services to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, announced that they have won "The Best Contract Manufacturing Project" award at this year's European Outsourcing Awards ceremony.
"Key to winning this award was the partnership approach adopted by both Catalent and Sciele Pharma Inc. Catalent had to demonstrate excellent project execution and flexibility to meet extremely challenging timelines. We will be using this project methodology as a blueprint for future collaborations," said Steve Facer, Site General Manager of Catalent's Packaging Services facility in Corby, England.
Ed Schutter, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sciele, said, "We are pleased to be working with Catalent. Utilizing their manufacturing expertise was instrumental in the successful launch of our new Sular product."
Launched in 2005, the European Outsourcing Awards recognize significant developments in contract services and rewards successful companies for their outstanding contributions and achievements throughout the year. The awards were created to celebrate and recognize excellence in R&D, marketing, business and technology across the pharmaceutical industry.
