An in vitro, in vivo correlation1 (IVIVC) is a scientific approach to describe the relationship between the in vitro property of a dosage form and a relevant in vivo response. The resulting mathematical model is used to predict the performance change from a modified release product. In the current study Venlafaxine SR multiparticulate formulation prepared with EUDRAGIT® NE 30 D was evaluated clinically on human volunteers for its pharmacokinetic parameters. The in vivo release kinetics were correlated with the in vitro release by applying numerical deconvolution and convolution transformation method to work out a correlation.
