A Q&A with Troy Tillman, Senior Global Marketing Manager, TSI Incorporated

Change is around the corner for pharmaceutical cleanrooms, as significant revisions to current ISO particle counting standards are forthcoming. With this in mind, Pharmaceutical Online thought it was a good time to speak with Troy Tillman of TSI, a supplier of particle counters and other precision measurement solutions. In this Q&A, we discuss with Tillman the issues that made these ISO changes necessary, along with the impact they are likely to have on the industry. He also gives recommendations on how manufacturers and cleanroom operators can best prepare for the publication these new standards.

Tillman has held various management positions at TSI over the past 20 years. Throughout that time, he helped develop many of the company’s instruments, including particle counters, thermal anemometers, and capture hoods used to classify and test cleanrooms. Troy has also worked with TSI’s controlled environment products, including monitoring systems in pharmaceutical cleanrooms, laboratories, hospitals, and vivariums. He has experience with various particle products, including research-grade instrumentation used in environmental studies and filter testing. He has been an active member in ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and CETA (Controlled Environment Testing Association) and a featured speaker at numerous conferences.
