Harro Höfliger Voted The 2009 Innovator Of The Year

Harro Höfliger is the 2009 Innovator of the Year Lothar Späth presents award to packaging machine manufacturer for its outstanding innovations management

Harro Höfliger Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH won the first prize in the 2009 "Top 100" nationwide corporate benchmarking competition. The jury was impressed by the exemplary way in which this south-west German company combines a variety of methods for promoting innovation that are particularly relevant to SMEs. They include a strong regional presence alongside an international focus and exemplary succession planning. Now in its 17th year, the aim of this competition is to seek out exceptional examples of innovation management in Germany's SME sector. Lothar Späth, former state premier of Baden-Württemberg, presented the prize at an official ceremony in Königswinter's "Gästehaus Petersberg" on 26 June 2009 and it was received on behalf of the company by managing director Harro Höfliger.
