IntelliSorb™ sorbents are highly customizable intelligent formulations that play the role of environmental manager within the device or drug packaging.

IntelliSorb™ sorbents can manage:

• packaging headspace to a specific equilibrium relative humidity (ERH);
• the water activity (Aw) of the product itself;
• oxygen within the packaging headspace; and/or
• hydrocarbons within the package headspace.

Moisture Management
IntelliSorb™ sorbents will manage moisture within the packaging headspace, rather than eliminating it like a typical desiccant. This can often be crucial to product stability. Desiccation is available when needed in multifunctional formulations.

Oxygen Management
IntelliSorb™ sorbents can absorb oxygen within the packaging headspace. It can also operate as a multifunctional environmental manager in the case where a specific ERH needs to be maintained and oxygen needs to be removed from within the product packaging.
