Non-Destructive Inspection Technologies for the Pharmaceutical Industry
PTI Inspection Systems will exhibit at the PDA Universe of Pre-filled Syringes and Injection Devices, November 7-9, 2011 at the Congress Center in Basel, Switzerland in Booth 45.

Earlier this year, PTI and Nikka USA introduced the E-Scan 625 HVLD offline inspection system. HVLD has been very successful at pinhole micro leak detection in the pharmaceutical industry for liquid filled products such as ampoules, vials, BFS containers, syringes and pouches. This new offline lab instrument is designed to inspect individual samples for micro leaks and sealing defects. Testing is non-destructive and non-invasive. The compact benchtop design is ideal for laboratory testing and R & D purposes. The HVLD technology can also be applied to 100% online inspection at high production speeds.
PTI also introduced the new VeriPac 400 Series last year, and it has been very well received," commented Heinz Wolf, general manager. "The pharmaceutical industry as a whole has recognized the importance of implementing an inspection method for quality/process control which can eliminate catastrophic, costly product recalls due to package/seal integrity defects. Destructive test methods without a data stream are being replaced by systems that conform to a uniform standard, such as the ASTM. The focus and goal of PTI's inspection technologies is to exclude subjectivity from package testing, as well as maintain the integrity of the package so it can enter the market or be used for further testing. Our inspection systems offer high repeatability and statistical test result data, two very important benefits."
