Telstar presents its new equipment for laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry with technologies such as containment, water generation for injectables and freeze drying, as well as a system for filling vials using a peristaltic pump by Watson Marlow Flexicon, which it represents.

Pharmaceutical industry

Specifically, Telstar is presenting for the first time in Spain the TELSTAR ACE CONTAINMENT ISOLATOR, which the company develops at its UK centre. This isolator, which prevents contact with hazardous agents and guarantees complete safety for handling chemical products with effective systems for containing and controlling levels up to several nanograms per m3, is aimed primarily at the pharmaceutical industry. With the renowned prestige of the ACE brand in the UK and USA as a manufacturer of this type of equipment, Telstar is developing its campaign to market this product around the world.

Also notable is the presentation at Expoquimia of a CS 4-1250 DISTILLER. Manufactured by Telstar, this distiller is designed to produce superior-quality water for injectables. It contributes to energy efficiency in water production for the pharmaceutical industry thanks to its main feature of multi-effect generation.

In addition, Telstar is presenting at Expoquimia its star freeze-drying equipment for research and development applications, LYOBETA 15, adapted for the first time to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. LyoBeta 15 makes it possible to develop recipes that can easily be exported to production equipment, improving the freeze-drying cycle in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. With stainless-steel finishes, this product can be installed in a sterile environment, is cleaner and perfectly meets the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.

Laboratory

For the laboratory market, Telstar presents LYOQUEST, the latest-generation laboratory freeze-dryer capable of making recipes with temperature and vacuum control. The device is the perfect solution for research and development laboratories due to its versatility and range of features.

For the first time, the Telstar catalogue includes a biological safety cubicle especially designed for preparing cytostatics that allows two people to work together simultaneously. The CYTOULTRA 6 cubicle has a patented sealed closing system that guarantees maximum safety. A digital display with a screen shows the main parameters of the cubicle and allows continuous monitoring of the filter status, optimising their operation.

Likewise, Telstar is presenting at Expoquimia the CLEAN AIR class III cubicle, a class III biological safety cabinet that guarantees maximum safety for the user, the product and the environment. This is a completely airtight cubicle in which the work area is kept at negative pressure, which is accessed using gloves. This cubicle is especially designed for working with biological products that have risk levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
