ATL (Ad Tape & Label), a privately held company in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin, specializes in disposable medical devices, custom die-cut components, single ply and multi-panel booklet labels, and track and trace technologies for security label needs. As a cGMP compliant and FDA registered company with ISO 13485:2003 registration, ATL has over sixty years of label printing experience with custom designed products for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and general label markets.
Disposable Medical Devices
As an FDA registered medical device manufacturer and a 3M Medical Preferred Converter, ATL’s services range from master roll distribution of medical tapes and foams to custom tight tolerance rotary die-cut components. Their experienced engineering staff can assist you with the design and development of your disposable medical device, streamline production to reduce cost (FMEA) of your die-cut component, as well as provide you with cost effective flatbed die cut prototypes. Island placement capabilities are available for placebo patches and disposable medical devices.
Customized Pouching and Packaging
As demands in customer pouching and packaging grow in sophistication, ATL has kept pace by expanding their pouching and packaging capabilities in order to accommodate one-stop supplier needs.
Custom die-cut components and pharmaceutical multi-panel booklet labels are inspected (in-process and final) in an extremely clean environment and in compliance to FDA cGMP regulations. Disposable medical devices are custom pouched and packaged (based on customer specifications) only after a certified Quality Assurance release. ATL can also assist in the proper selection of containers and cartons from their qualified suppliers. Examples of customized pouching and packaging includes in-line cold seal pouching, off-line heat seal pouching, pick and place applications, lot numbering and custom coding, and kit and carton assembly.
Multi-Panel Booklet and Extended Content Labels
ATL's multi-panel booklet and extended content labels range from 3 to 35 pages, providing a practical option to fit comprehensive product information in a small amount of space. Multi-panel booklet labels can be used to provide your customers with critical product details such as drug facts, directions on usage, assembly instructions, drawings or diagrams, rebates or warranties, and even multiple languages. Various configurations of multi-panel booklet and extended content labels are available with re-sealable closures and wrap-around constructions for both flat and curved surfaces.
Track and Trace Technologies
ATL can offer you the latest solutions in track and trace technologies by providing complete supply chain authentication. We offer specialized overt and covert products that provide you with customized options to meet multiple levels of protection. Some of these features include holograms, 2D barcodes, invisible digital markers, and serialization. These track and trace technologies are available in many different substrates and formats.
ATL’s Quality Management System
For well over a decade, ATL’s facility, Quality Management System (QMS) and personnel have successfully passed dozens of on-site audits from top pharmaceutical and medical companies. The company’s strong QMS includes Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and an active “Systems Validation Protocol” with standard operating procedures and process controls in place for all labels, multi-panel booklet labels, and disposable medical devices. The QMS is based on several standards: ISO 9000; ISO 28000:2007, ISO 13485:2003; and cGMP compliance to 21 CFR 210, 211, and 820. For exports, they follow EN 46002. ATL’s principles of Quality Function Deployment, tight tolerance measuring equipment, and other preventive quality assurance techniques provide the best possible conformance quality.
