The division's headquarters, a two-building, 189,000 square foot complex in South San Francisco, California, houses office and laboratory space. Having had experience with a TAC Building Management System in their previous facility, Facilities Director Carlos Mena and Facility Manager Tom Martin were not hesitant to contract again with partner Energy Logics of San Jose, California to install a system in their new facility. "We were confident with the performance of both Energy Logics and the TAC system for HVAC control," says Martin. "And the ability to fully integrate security on the same network really appealed to us this time around."

Today, a completely integrated Andover Continuum system allows the company to control and monitor every aspect of their building, including card access, HVAC, freezer monitoring, CCTV, lighting, and process monitoring, from any of their workstations.

Andover Continuum's ability to provide not only comfort control and security for the general office/lab spaces, but also control and monitor numerous product holding areas was especially appealing to the company. "With Andover Continuum," notes Jeff Ginn, Account Manager at Energy Logics, "the company does not need a separate system for these specialized storage rooms. It allows everything to be tied back to one front-end workstation for centralized monitoring and alarming."
