Pharmaceutical manufacturers continually seek solutions to speed products to market, ramp up production in times of outbreaks or increased demand, protect their brand integrity throughout the supply chain and streamline efficiencies to remain highly cost-effective. Of course, the critical need to ensure patient safety makes rigorous quality control and precision in pharmaceutical manufacturing incredibly important.

Fortunately, rapid advances in processing and packaging technologies are enabling drug manufacturers to ensure accuracy and quality, while enhancing the speed of their operations – from discovery to production. For instance, advancements in capsule and tablet imprinting systems have helped prevent counterfeiting while also reducing operating costs. New ink-less UV marking solutions have allowed manufacturers to print on larger surfaces than traditional technologies, with the added benefit of eliminating thermal denaturation on tablets and cleaning processes.
